Cooked this recipe again and used chickpeas. No white beans in the cupboard. Cut the sausages in half and cooked per recipe. Thank goodness I set the cook timer on the oven. Ended up going out and purchasing a car. When we returned all the liquid had evaporated and resulted in thick stew. Not too bad. Will be adding some broth to the leftovers for the future consumption.

Keep up the good work and keep creating Kristi!

Kristi,

Used the Insta-Pot for the first time using the Elk and Sausage recipe, phenomenal results. Browned everything in a cast iron skillet and transferred. Used the same amount of liquids, which resulted in a more soupy consistency (no evaporation). I will make this again and either reduce the liquid or increase the elk, sausage and beans. Having it completed in 90 minutes total was crazy cool.

Love the recipes and it was a great year hunting, 2 elk (bull and cow) and an antelope!

Thx/
